Galilee Yearbook 2007

This is not really a book if you think about it. It doesn't have any pages and only few written words. Not everyone was included or very visible. Even the cover picture doesn't include everyone who suppose to belong to the fellowship.

What we have is a collection of pictures and videos with lots of different people, places, events and time on a DVD.

If you show it to someone who have never attended any fellowship before, they would think we have some kind of social group with lots of crazy people.

Show it to those who know a thing or two about a Christian fellowship, and they may think the fellowship is very energetic and healthy.

To those who actually experienced 2007 as a Galilean . . well, that depends how the year went for you. It may be a reminder of a happy happy year where you enjoy the company of your fellow brother and sister. It may be evidence that no one notice you and you were left out of all the fun event.

No matter the audience, those involved in creating this "thing" probably have the same goal - trying to record the history of a fellowship that is important to them.

Yes, Galilee Fellowship is important to me. Because without it, I would be just another Sunday Morning Christian.

teach yourself digital home movie making

It has been a long time since I brought a book out of interest. Tonight when I was strolling through Chapters heading toward the magazine section as always, I saw a book that peak my interest. I pick it up and skim through it hoping to find out it is no good so I don't have to read it in details. As luck would have it, the book cover lots of basic in filming and I just can't help but buy it.

Like lots of things in life, it is better to build a solid foundation before going too far. Trying to attend a course to learn the basic seems to be both expensive and time consuming. So I hope this book will be my first step in honing my skill in film making.

Meaning of Birthday

It was my birthday this pass Saturday, thank you too all those who remembered. In all my birthday celebration, I have never have so many people have dinner with me on my birthday before (not allow to disclose how many birthday I have had so people can't guess how old my sister is).

How can a birthday be without a birthday cake? My parents prepared this cake for my special day.

I happen to know someone don't believe in birthdays. That certain someone who shall remain nameless is currently far far away on a remote island with lots of sand and volcano off the west coats of the United State. He told me that the only thing you remember on your first birthday was a big fat nothing. So the only one who should really celebrate it is your mom would remember a lot more than you.

Aside from the mountains of presents I get every year (I always goto bed early before my birthday), it is also a time to see how well you have treated your friends over the pass year. No present from an old friend doesn't mean he have forgotten you. It just that you haven't call him when the days are not that special. A simple Happy Birthday send over the internet can't really consider to be a present, but it certainly make you smile that someone like you enough to remember.

I guess a birthday is just another excuse for us to share a moment of our life with those we love. Cause we all know we need an excuse to lavish our friends with gifts.

Deer Creek Golf Club Wedding

Tonight we went to the wedding of Grace and Alan at Deer Creek. We were looking forward to see how it feel to have a wedding at the golf club so we can prepare for our own wedding next year (August 4th, 2008) at the same location with a better idea. As the sun set just beyond the horizon, the view from within the banquet became more and more romantic.

It was a beautiful and memorable night, hopefully our wedding will be just as good.

Memories

This past Friday night was cell group program at fellowship. Our cell group jointed with KaKe's group to share some of our memories. We each brought something from our pass and told the story behind the pictures or item that we brought. Not only did we hear lots of interesting story about each other, we also discovered how we shared some of our pass together before we knew each other. A couple of B/S lived in the same apartment complex in HK, went to same play ground and ate at the same restaurant. Bun and Elisa actually went to the same Kindergarten! ! ! Simone shared a picture she and a couple of her old friends at Tobermory, and I recognized that location quickly cause I took a picture at that location as well!

The night was short and our memories were long. Hopefully this will help us get to know each other better and we can have more gathering like this in the near future!
